Cannabis auf dem World Club Dome: Was gilt auf dem Gelände? - Hanfify

The World Club Dome 2026 is just around the corner – and with the new cannabis legislation, many visitors are asking: Can I legally have cannabis at the festival? We clarify what is permitted, which rules apply on the grounds, and what you should pay attention to if you want to celebrate relaxed and safely.

What does the law say about cannabis in Germany?

Since April 2024, a lot has changed in Germany. Cannabis is partially legalized – but with clear limits. We look at what that specifically means.

Overview of the current legal situation

Adults aged 18 and over are allowed to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis in public spaces in Germany. At home, up to 50 grams are permitted. The personal cultivation of up to three plants is also legal. This sounds generous at first glance – but the devil is in the details.

Possession and consumption in public spaces

You are generally allowed to consume cannabis in public spaces. However, there are protection zones: A minimum distance of 100 meters applies near schools, daycare centers, playgrounds, and youth facilities. Between 7 AM and 8 PM, it is even 200 meters. In pedestrian zones, consumption is also prohibited between 7 AM and 8 PM.

Special features at major events

This is where it becomes relevant: At major events, in stadiums, and enclosed halls, additional restrictions often apply. The law explicitly allows organizers to prohibit cannabis on their premises – regardless of the general legal situation. House rules take precedence.

World Club Dome 2026: The official rules

The World Club Dome will take place from June 5th to 7th, 2026. What does the new law specifically mean for this event? We have researched.

What the organizers allow – and what they don't

The organizers of the World Club Dome have not yet published a final statement on carrying cannabis for 2026. Experience shows that large festivals tend to follow strict security guidelines. Restrictions are to be expected for indoor elements and enclosed areas. We recommend checking the current festival rules on the official website before traveling.

House rules vs. legal regulation

Even if cannabis is partially legal in Germany: Organizers can set their own rules on their premises. The house rules allow a complete ban on cannabis – similar to glass bottles or other items. Those who violate this risk being ejected from the premises or excluded from the festival. Legal permission does not protect you here.

Checks at the entrance and on the premises

Bag checks usually take place at the entrance to the World Club Dome. Security personnel check whether prohibited items are being carried. If cannabis is on the prohibited list, it will be confiscated – without legal consequences, but you will not be allowed onto the premises. During the festival, staff can also intervene if you violate the house rules.

Practical tips for festival visitors

You want to play it safe? We give you some pointers along the way.

What you are allowed to bring

As long as the organizers do not communicate a clear release, you should assume that cannabis is not allowed at the World Club Dome. Although the 25-gram rule is legally valid, it does not automatically apply on private festival grounds. Inform yourself in advance about the current festival rules – this will save you trouble at the entrance.

Where consumption is possible – and where it is not

Even if cannabis were allowed: In enclosed spaces, halls, and covered areas, consumption is usually excluded. This also applies to densely packed crowds. Smoking – whether tobacco or cannabis – is often only permitted in designated areas. Pay attention to signs and respect the rules.

Dealing with security personnel

If you are approached: Stay calm and cooperative. Security personnel enforce the house rules, not criminal law. Discussions are useless – in case of doubt, the organizer decides. Those who behave respectfully usually get through the situation without major problems.

Alternatives: Legal hemp products for on the go

You don't want to do without hemp, but want to be safe on the go? There are options that are easily allowed at any festival.

CBD and other legal cannabinoids

CBD products are completely legal in Germany, as long as the THC content is below 0.2 percent. They are not intoxicating, but can contribute to relaxation and well-being. Other cannabinoids such as CBG or CBN are also permitted and are becoming increasingly popular. They offer a gentle alternative without legal gray areas.

What is easily allowed at festivals

CBD oils, capsules, or vapes with legal cannabinoids can usually be brought without hesitation. They do not fall under the Narcotics Act and are also not a problem at festivals. Make sure that the products are reputable and come from trustworthy suppliers. This way you are on the safe side – and can enjoy your festival relaxed.
